The Gasconade River Canoe and Kayak Race

The race starts at the Jerome Access(Missouri Dep of Conservation). Start gun goes off at 8:00am sharp. Check-In/Registration starts at 7:00am with the mandatory safety meeting at 7:30am. All racers must check in or register before 7:30am. All racers must be up river of the boat ramp at Jerome when the gun goes off. For each division the winning boat will be the first one to pass or touch the ramp at Pointer's Creek Access(MDC). These are the tentative cut off times for the two check points:

 

Paydown Access 3:30pm

Rollins Ferry Access 6:30pm or 7:00pm

 

These are safety checkpoints. They will be staffed by race volunteers for the racers safety. We must know if any racer decides to with draw form the race. Racers are not required to stop at any checkpoint, but we do request that each racer makes an effort to let the volunteers know what boat is going by at each check point. The river is narrow enough that this could be satisfied by paddling close enough to the ramp that the volunteers can read your four digit race number. Every boat must have a four digit boat number visible on both sides of the bow of thier boat. The purpose of the check points is that they will tell us how many racers we have on the river and what part of the river they're on. So please help us keep the racers as safe as possible.
